You process your files (PDF, TIFF, JPEG, PSD) either by Drag&Drop or with the help of hot folders.
The hot folder function is used for automated processing of large numbers of files. An automatically generated hot folder combination, using the Configuration previously selected by you under Settings, is available for checking your files.
The hot folders are structured as follows:
You put the files to be checked in the In folder. They are analyzed by DocBees-ProfileTagger and moved to the Out folder, possibly after being tagged with profiles. After processing, the Done folder contains your original files. The processed files in the Out folder are given exactly the same names as the original files, in order not to confuse downstream workflows by adding suffixes. Depending on the setting, the PDF Report is also put into the Out folder.
Mac: On a Mac, the DocBees-ProfileTagger folder is automatically created in the user’s directory when the application is started for the first time.
Windows: On a Windows PC, the hot folders for automatic processing are located in the user directory, e.g. C:Documents and SettingsUser NameDocumentsDocBees-ProfileTagger.
For direct processing, you can simply move your individual files into the left-hand list by Drag&Drop after starting DocBees-ProfileTagger. The files are checked using the Configuration selected under Settings. Once the files have been completely processed and tagged with ICC profiles, they are saved on your computer in the same location as the original files, where they are labeled with the suffix TAGGED and a consecutive number. The PDF Report file generated is labeled with the suffix REPORT and the same consecutive number.
Note: The list of processed jobs becomes longer and longer over time. You can click on the Clear List button to delete all the jobs in the list and reset the Job ID to zero. From Version 1.1 onwards, ProfileTagger generally retains the processing and document information for each processed job, even after you exit the program. As a result, you can view the detailed information for each job at a later time and save it as a PDF Report.
The result of the check is displayed on the Document Info tab and, depending on the selected setting, additionally saved as a detailed PDF Report.
