Other new features and bug fixes in DocBees-ProfileManager 2.2

  • The error that saving a modified profile – for example changing the name of the Description tag of a profile in the General tab – with the Save Profile function in the File menu did not work.
  • Modifying the Copyright tag of profiles in the General tab will not be possible any more with version 2.2 and higher.
  • The Profile Report of printer profiles using a white point and black point defined in XYZ has been improved to show the calculated Lab values instead. As most profiles are using Lab values the comparison is better if the important white point and black point information are expressed in Lab, too.
  • The context menu entry Open Folder from the previous version 2.1 has been changed to Show File in version 2.2. and higher. Choosing a profile in ProfileManager and using the Show File feature will open the folder in the Finder/Explorer window respectively and selects this profile. This improves on searching for a profile.
  • The PDF Profile Report has been extended with an output intent. The output intent will be that of the tested printer profile or in case of a DeviceLink profile the target profile used in the DeviceLink. This improves on the color rendering of images and vector elements used in the report when opening the output preview in Adobe Acrobat.
  • The Help menu has a new entry What’s new? that refers to the most recent Online help article for the application. An active internet connection is required.
  • The About dialog has been adapted slightly so that the texts are not clipped.
  • Since version 2.2 DocBees-ProfileManager is localized into German and English language.
