Other new features in ZePrA 3.0
- A right click in Windows, or Ctrl+Click on a Mac, on a Queue in the Overview window opens an extended context-sensitive menu, where you can not only individually stop or start the queue, but also open the hotfolders associated with the queue. As a result, you can access the folders and convert data faster.
- A new function for creating a SaveInk Report has been added to the Tools menu. This report generates a detailed overview of all SaveInk queues you have created in ZePrA, and of their processed jobs. The total ink savings across all queues, the savings per queue, and the savings per job are listed, providing you with helpful assistance when calculating prices and costs. The report can be generated in the form of a PDF, TXT, HTML or XML file.
- The Job Properties, which contains all relevant information for the color conversion of every single job including the amount of ink savings, can also be generated in Enfocus Switch via a new ZePrA configurator. This permits more extensive automation, e.g. for cost calculation in case of ink saving applications.
- The SmartLink Setup dialog has been expanded to include an option for distinguishing between application to vectors or images, or both, when selecting DeviceLink profiles for color space conversions. For one and the same color conversion, e.g. from AdobeRGB to ISO newspaper, this makes it possible to choose a separate DeviceLink profile for vectors that converts primary and secondary colors to 100%, for example, whereas conversion of this kind will probably not be wanted for images, meaning that a different DeviceLink can thus be chosen. This permits even more targeted color conversion.

- In addition, when making a new entry (button: New) in the SmartLink table (Profile Assignments), you will find that we have changed the sequence for selecting profiles, making this work easier. When you now select your DeviceLink Profile first, the Source and Target profile are entered automatically, provided they are appropriately noted in the DeviceLink and available on your computer.
- A new Delete All button has been added to the SmartLink Setup dialog. If you have created several profiles and want to delete them, you can either delete every individual entry separately using the Delete button, or use the new Delete all button to do just that.
- In the Automatic Setup Wizard, you can now also create color conversion configurations without hotfolders (by deactivating the Create queue option). This is useful if you want to assign a different configuration to an existing hotfolder.
- When exporting configurations (via the Tools menu), it is now the case that configurations and any associated hotfolders are exported, and no longer hotfolders with assigned configurations. Any pure configurations without queues that may exist are now also displayed and can be exported.
- The special PDF functions, familiar from ZePrA 2, for preserving overprinting effects and the processing of transparencies have been shifted to the PDF tab responsible for PDF processing.
- Gradation curves resulting from loaded text files can now be removed in the Apply gradations dialog. A warning message is displayed if you try to delete gradation curves that are still being used in configurations. If you ignore this warning, the gradations are removed from the respective configuration and replaced by a linear gradation.
