Installation of the DeviceLink Sets via a separate DLS-Manager application

  • There are now more than 300 high-quality DeviceLink profiles in various DeviceLink Sets (DLS), all of which were previously available in a ZePrA demo installation. However, this large number of profiles made it very hard to know which profiles needed to be selected when setting up configurations. For this reason, the Demo Profiles are no longer installed with ZePrA 3 as standard. Instead, we have put all Demo DeviceLink Profiles in a separate, clearly organized DLS-Manager, where the user can decide which profile sets he would like to install and test, rather than having to work his way through a gigantic list of profiles in ZePrA. It is, of course, also possible to install all profiles when selecting the Expert Set.
  • To make sure that it is still as easy as possible for customers to install a ZePrA demo version, a prompt to install the required Demo DeviceLink Profiles is automatically displayed after loading a demo license in ZePrA.
  • The DLS-Manager makes it very simple to order, supply and install DeviceLinks: Just start the application and select the license file that you have received from your dealer with the guidance of a wizard. The ordered DeviceLink profiles are then correctly installed in the system and are immediately available for use.
  • When installing ZePrA, the DLS-Manager is already set up during the installation of ZePrA, meaning that it then only needs to be called up via the Install DeviceLink Profiles item in the Tools menu in ZePrA.
  • The DLS-Manager makes it easier to select and install the profile sets, since there is no longer any need for manual copying operations.
  • Profile updates – e.g. new or improved profiles – can be handled very easily via the DLS-Manager.
