The creation of Multicolor DeviceLink profiles with colors beyond CMYK is now possible with the help of the Edit module. If, for example, you want to create a Duplex, Triplex or Multicolor DeviceLink profile (Triplex: 3-channel Multicolor DeviceLink profile) with freely selectable colors, you could previously only do so using the Multicolor Edit module in ColorLogic CoLiPri and with the assistance of DocBees-ProfileManager. This can now also be done in CoPrA 2, because the Photoshop PSD format is supported. Consequently, it is now possible, for example, to save a duplex or triplex conversion of a ColorLogic Edit Chart from Photoshop as a PSD file, and then process it in CoPrA. In this context, CoPrA 2 can not only extract the color information from the PSD format and use it to create the Triplex DeviceLink profile described in this example, but also convert pixel files to PSD with the Triplex DeviceLink profile using the Tools menu feature Color Match.
Note: If you want to create Duplex, Triplex or Quadriplex DeviceLink profiles with the Edit module and in combination with Photoshop, you need to convert the file first to a multichannel file (using Image/Mode/Multichannel) in Photoshop before you save it as a PSD file and load it in CoPrA.
