Measurement data correction and smoothing

Measurement data correction is a highly sophisticated combination of correction and smoothing of the measurement data. The aim is to detect and eliminate measuring errors, and to smooth irregular measurements, but without changing the printing properties in the process.
It makes sense to apply measurement data correction if the ICC profile of your printing standard, to be optimized by means of measurement data in DocBees-Reprofiler, is based on non-smoothed measurements.

Recommendation: Always apply the function when working with your own profiles or those supplied by manufacturers of digital printing systems, rather than with the ISO profiles (which are already smoothed).

Note: It may well be that smoothing affects the accuracy of reproduction of the measurements that we show in the final step of DocBees-Reprofiler or in the Report. Nevertheless, the deviation of the measurements is still far better, compared to the non-optimized original output profile.
