The new version of ZePrA 2.3 allows you to automatically apply gradation adjustments to existing configurations, or to pure gradation workflows to be newly created.
A workflow purely involving gradation adjustment is appropriate if you have already prepared the printing data for the required printing process, control the printing process with the help of suitable tools, and can save correction gradations (e.g. CtP compensation curves for printing to ISO 12647-2) in an external file at the same time (see also the information on the syntax of the gradation curves file). Instead of applying these corrections in the RIP, you can now apply them “on-the-fly”, directly in ZePrA.
The exciting thing about the new function is its capacity for automation: you can now not only apply gradation adjustments in ZePrA in the form of predefined gradation curves, but also load gradation adjustments from an external file and automatically apply them to process and spot colors. If you update the curves in this external file, the gradation curves are automatically adopted in the ZePrA configuration and applied to the printing data to be processed. As a result, ZePrA can be used for automatic color and print control – not only for standard printing processes, but also for digital printing presses.
